Our Story
Owners John and Kate opened InDo (short for Inspiration Domain) in 2015 as a workspace that would spark inspiration and creativity. The idea behind InDo began after Kate launched her marketing firm over a decade ago– the couple wanted to create a workspace for entrepreneurs and other creatives that was unique by comparison to other coworking spaces. InDo is home to a wide range of entrepreneurs and fast-growing companies from tech start-ups, to musical instrument companies, to marketing agencies, to a massage therapist, and a chiropractor our membership is eclectic, friendly and inspiring!
Annually, we host events from Americanafest and Weirdo Workshop’s Tiny Book Club. Historically we’ve hosted events for notable companies and artists such as Gene Simmons, Emmylou Harris, John Carter Cash, Martin Guitar, Warner Brothers, APRA Amcos, and more.
InDo is a relaxed and motivating environment that is constantly evolving through our valued members, staff, and events.

John Richardson
Co-owner of InDo Nashville
Born and raised in New Jersey, John attended Widener University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities. After working as a paralegal for the Somerset County Prosecutors Office for two years, he moved to Nashville in 1994 in search of a new beginning. Always up for adventure, his first job landed him on a 70 acre estate in Franklin, TN, where he lived in a barn, managed the grounds, and cared for the horses and other animals. After that, John worked some odd jobs until he found employment installing in car cameras in NASCAR for The Nashville Network. This jumpstarted his career in the television industry, where has earned a total 4 National Sports Emmys for Technical Achievement. Outside of InDo, John enjoys cycling, running scuba diving and spending time with his wife Kate, and their twin sons, Ethan and Nigel.
